摘　　要：从突发公共卫生事件的概念与特点出发,分析了医学图书馆为突发公共卫生事件服务的优势和可能性,提出了医学图书馆积极应对突发公共卫生事件的措施,如建立健全应急预案和服务机制、培养主动超前的服务意识、建立专题数据库、密切相关单位的沟通联系、加强网络的建设和维护、加强馆员队伍的素质建设等。After the concept and characteristics of public health emergencies were described , the advantages and possibility of medical library to provide service for public health emergencies were analyzed with suggestions put for-ward for medical library to provide service for public health emergencies,such as perfecting emergency measures and service mechanisms ,cultivating active and advance service awareness ,developing special database ,establishing close communication with related institutions, enforcing network construction and maintenance,and improving librarians＇literacy.
