摘　　要：采用文献资料、逻辑分析、比较研究等研究方法深入探讨中国职业体育本质特征等问题,为正确认识和定位中国职业体育提供理论依据。我国职业体育是市场化的高水平竞技体育,其核心是职业体育赛事和职业运动员的组织管理和经营,凸显了现代竞技体育的经济和社会价值;具有专业性和公益性的双重属性,其产品具有明显的公共产品性质,现阶段我国职业体育产品大多数属于准公共产品;我国职业体育是我国体育事业的组成部分,是竞技体育的高级形态,是体育产业的核心内容;尚处于起步和发展初期,与西方职业体育相比表现出较大的差异,具有中国特色。最后就我国职业体育的改革与发展提出了诸多对策建议。Through the methods of literature review, logic analysis and comparative study, this paper made discussions on the essential characteristics of professional sport in China. The following results are pointed out： 1） professional sport is the marketization of high-level competitive sport with professional sport events and professional athletes＇ organization and management as a core. 2） professional sport highlights modern high-level competitive sport＇s economic and social values and it has dual attributes of professional and public welfare. 3） professional sport shows obvious public goods characteristic, at present professional sport in China belongs to quasi public goods. 4） As a part of sport cause, professional sport in China is the advanced form of competitive sport and also the core content of sport industry. 4） Compared with the western professional sport, professional sport in China stays in the early development period and it has own characteristics. In the end, such countermeasures and suggestions as understanding professional sport＇s essential characteristics in China correctly and taking different professional sport development route are given to each level such as country, sport administrative departments, sports associations and clubs.
