摘　　要：通过建立小型语料库,对比分析在英美和中国医学期刊中各60篇论文英文摘要中的模糊限制语,其中陈述型模糊限制语体现客观性,描述型模糊限制语保证准确性,缓和型模糊限制语富于逻辑性。在翻译中要根据实际采用虚实相结合的策略。A comparison of 120 English abstracts, with 60 each randomly sdected from the two groups of journals, shows the differences and similarities in usages and pragmatic functions, among which narrative hedges show objectiveness, descriptive hedges guarantee accuracy, while shields are logical. We should adopt the strategy of virtual-real combination in translation.
