语义韵视角下的流行词词义虚化

摘　　要：语义韵是语料库语言学一个重要语言现象,而隶属于新词范畴的流行词则是广受青年群体青睐的词语类型。选取流行词"小XX"结构为着眼点,以语义韵相关理论为依托,借助在CCL语料库和CLIP语料库实证性检索,对结构中形容词"小"的词义虚化机制分析。提出流行词"小XX"结构中"小"在发生形容词词义虚化表象下,其语义韵呈现层次化改变;而语义韵强度提升促成其在现代汉语中得以高频运用。此类探讨不仅有利于对类似流行词结构理解,而且对ESL近义词辨析和二语写作教学选词准确性的提高提供有益思路。Prosody is a very important linguistic phenomenon in linguistics while trendy expressions are widely favored by youngsters. Choosing trendy expression as research object, with the help of semantic the- ories, this paper has analyzed the structure of ＂Xiao XX＂ based on CCL and CLIP. Through the study of the transformation mechanism of the usage of ＂Xiao XX＂,we propose that a prosodic hierarchy appears under- lying the meaning weakening of adjectives like ＂Xiao＂ ;and the resulting richer prosody leads to its high fre- quency in usage. The research not only provides prospect for the better understanding of similar Chinese trendy expressions but also helps the understanding of English synonymous and improvement in ESL writ- ing as to word choice.
