摘　　要：文章认为应用图书馆学与理论图书馆学各具研究特点。应重视这些特点,应用图书馆学应重视图书馆实践中出现的重要问题,重视关于图书馆理念、观念研究;理论图书馆学应重视概念研究,重视图书馆与文化、哲学的关系研究,重视理论抽象和逻辑推理。指出应用图书馆学研究应自觉接受理论图书馆学指导,理论图书馆学研究应关注应用图书馆学研究中提出的理论问题。应用图书馆学研究与理论图书馆学研究之间应保持一定的张力。This paper thinks that application library science and theory library science have each research characteristics. Application library science should pay attention to important problems in practice,library concept research. Theory library science should pay attention to research of conception,the relationship between culture and philosophy, the theoretical abstraction and logical inference. It points out that application library science should accept the guidance of theory library science, theory library science should study subject in practice and application library research by theoretecal interpretation, generalization and sublimation.Research of application library science and theory library science should keep the tension.
