Objective To explore the feasibility of three dimensional scanning technology in measuring the absorption rate on breast augmentation with autologous fat granule transplantation. Methods Through the application of breast three dimensional scanning technology was applied to measure the breast volume before op- eration and at 1 month, 3 months, 6 months after operation with autologous fat transplantation, thereby calculat- ing the absorption rate of autologous fat. Results By measuring the breast volume of 30 female patients with autologous fat transplantation for breast augmentation, We figured out the rates of fat absorption at 1 month, 3 months and 6 months after surgery were (35.21 ±4.43)%, (52.60 ±3.18)% and (53.78 ±3.05)% re- spectively. Compared with the rate at 1 month after surgery, the rates at 3 and 6 months after surgery had a sta- tistical significance ( P 〈 0.05 ). But there was no difference by comparing the rate at 3 months with rate 6 months after surgery ( P 〉 0.05 ). Conclusion Application of 3 D scanning technology on measuring the fat absorption rate could provide clinical references for autologous fat transplantation in the breast augmentation.
