摘　　要：昭通虽僻处西南内地,却因交通孔道的原因而成为近代天主教传入云南最早的地区,也是云南教区最早的主教区。在其传播过程中,一度曾发生过多次民教冲突,但由于天主教会长期执著于医疗等公益事业,教派发展也呈现多元趋势,在经历晚清数十年的曲折动荡之后,到民国年间其"劝人为善"之处已逐渐为昭通社会所接受。Although located in the far-off southwest China, but Zhaotong still became the first region that the western missionary of Catholicism came to Yunnan. In the mean time, Zhaotong also was the oldest parish diocese in Yunnan ow- ing to the Status of traffic connection between Yunnan and central China. There had been many conflicts between Christi- anity and Chinese peoples in the missionary process. But because of the long-term dedication to the medical and other public undertakings, and the Catholic Church also showed multi-denominational development trend in the late Qing Dy- nasty, the missionaries had been gradually accepted as the ＂advising people to do good＂ by Zhaotong social after tortuous for decades until the founding of the Republic of China.
