摘　　要：古代西域历经了原始社会、奴隶社会及封建社会三个发展阶段。在这漫长的历史进程里,生活在多民族、多民族并存的古代西域地区的人们,创造出了狩猎类、跑跳类、投掷类、武术类、角力类、命中类、骑术类、球类、棋牌类、舞戏类、其他类等九大民族体育项群。这些项目不仅是中华古代文明的重要组成部分,也是中华文化宝库中的珍品。Ancient Western Region has experienced the primitive society,slavery society and advance of feudal society. In the long historical process,due to the need of production and living,military,religion,entertainment etc,and the transmission of many country civilization,and the change and fusion of many national,all nationalities living here had created nine categories of national sports group including Hunting,running and jumping,throwing,martial arts,hitting,riding,ball games,chess,dance drama？ class,other classes and so on,which are not only an important part of Chinese ancient civilization,but also the Chinese cultural treasures.
