摘  要:中篇小说文体概念的定义及其特征的研究中颇多争议,这是由在小说家族中中篇与长篇、短篇之间的文体纠葛引起的,其间存在各种交叉现象,需要具体地历史地为中篇小说文体定位。"适中性"是中篇小说文体的活性基因,内含"适应""适用"和"适度"三维。"适中性"是中篇小说文体的形态特征,从而也可以看作是认知中篇小说文体基本原则和特征的研究路径。中篇小说文体的独立性地位,取决于创作主体和社会审美的需求。There is a lot of controversy in the study of definition and features of novella style. The controversy arises from stylistic entanglement between novella and novel as well as among short stories in novel family,in which there are various cross phenomena, hence a specific and historical stylistic position is needed for the novella. "Moderate- ness" is an active gene of novella style, containing such three dimensions as "adaptable" ," applicable" and "mod- est". "Moderateness" is the morphological characteristic of novella style,which can also be seen as a research ap- proach to recognizing the basic principles and characteristics of novella style. The independence status of novella style depends on the creation subject and the social aesthetic demands.
