摘　　要：《红死病的假面具》是爱伦·坡的恐怖名篇,小说彰显的"恐怖美"得到了读者的广泛认可。深入研究这种"美"会发现其背后的伦理之"真":政治主体信用伦理和向善伦理的背离、民众对生存伦理的诉求、伦理中权力"弥散"所致的权力冲突和权力转换。小说以"恐怖美"为表象,巧妙地表明了叙述者的政治立场,隐晦地揭示出封建统治的灭亡和资本主义民权胜利的历史必然性。The Masque of the Red Death is one of horror tales by Allen Poe,in which the horror aesthetic has popularly been studied and behind it a moral orientation is concealed,especially the ethic truth： the deviations of the credit ethic and kindness ethic from politics subject and the claims from mass for life ethic. On the basis,the tale discloses the dispersion and swift of power as well as the historical inevitability of the feudalism extinction and the arousal of the capitalist human right through the image of ＂the horror beauty＂.
