摘　　要：美国公共图书馆管理外包始于1997年,其主要模式包括馆长职能外包和整体运作外包两种。美国各界对公共图书馆管理外包在以下方面存在争论:运营费用和服务;员工身份的改变和员工福利;资源共享;运营管理透明度;思想信息自由流动。美国公共图书馆管理外包的案例可为我国提供借鉴。In 1997, public libraries in America began to outsource the management. Outsourcing the director function and whole management are the both patterns. Americans depute at some issues about outsourcing the public library management： management fees and services; the alternation of the identity and the material benefits of the employees; the resource sharing; the management transparency; the flow of ideas and information. The management outsourcing of public libraries in America could provide a reference for our country.
