摘　　要：李燕亭是中国现代图书馆事业的开创者与奠基者之一,是早期图书馆学教育译作的重要参与者,并以此结缘图书馆学。他在河南大学图书馆供职长达30余年,并以科学家的视角参与了图书馆事业,推动了河南地方图书馆协会和中华图书馆协会的建立。他积极传播西方图书馆学新知,撰著《图书馆学讲义》,在河南大学开设图书馆学选修课,并在河南国学专修馆讲授图书馆学。他还建议在北平设立图书馆学专科学校,为现代图书馆学教育做出了积极的贡献。Li Yanting is one of builders and founders of Chinese modern library cause. He is an important participant in the early education of the library science translation, and thus became attached to the library science. He worked in the Library of Henan University for more than 30 years and participtated the library cause in the view of the scientist. He promoted the establishment of Henan local library association and Chinese Library Association. In addition, he spread the western library science knowledge actively and wrote The Handout of the Library Science. He also taught the optional cause of the library science in Henan University, taught the library science in Henan Ancient Chinese Literature Search Training Hall, suggested the establishment of the school of the library science in Peking, and made a positive contribution to the mondern library science education.
