摘　　要：《赵氏孤儿》是我国最早传入欧洲的戏剧,也是18世纪唯一传入欧洲的中国戏剧。18世纪的英国至少有3个《赵氏孤儿》的改编版,分别是1741年威廉·哈切特的《中国孤儿:一出历史悲剧》、1756年托马斯·富兰克林翻译的伏尔泰的《中国孤儿》和1759年亚瑟·谋飞的《中国孤儿》。这3个版本借鉴了原作不同的情节,表达了改编者不同的诉求。考察这3个改编版本,可以揭示中国戏剧与英国戏剧的融合,让我们在一个侧面了解《赵氏孤儿》在18世纪英国的传播状貌。Zhao Shi Gu Er,the first Chinese play as well as the only one that had been introduced to Europe in the 18 th century,had three English adaptations in Britain in that century.They borrowed different plots fromZhao Shi Gu Er in varying degrees serving their disparate appeals.A detailed study of these adaptations will help understand the absorption of Chinese play in English drama and reveal from one perspective the acceptance of Chinese drama and Chinese culture in Britain in the 18 th century.
