摘　　要：随着社会的发展和人们健康需求的提高以及医学护理模式的不断发展,护理工作被赋予了新的定义和范畴,对护理人才的知识结构、能力水平也提出了更高的要求,护士必须通过继续教育不断提高自己的专业水平和综合能力,以适应护理事业发展的需要。接受专业教育对于一个医疗、护理或相关的专业人员来说是终生连续的过程。我国护理学继续教育由于起步较晚,尚处于起步和探索阶段,它的发展和成熟需要结合我国的国情和不同人群的健康需求,更需要多方面的支持和努力。通过优化教育内容、创新教育方法、强化专科发展促进护士综合能力的培养和服务水平的提高,充分培养发展潜质、发挥角色作用,并使护士的职业价值得到认可、社会地位得到提高,为保障广大人民群众的健康做出更大的贡献。With the development of society and variety of health demands,the model of nursing is changing and the definition and connotation of nursing is updated. As a result,nurses are required to be equipped with more abilities and higher competency through continuing education to adapt to the progress of professional development. Continuing nursing education has been defined as ＂any post-basic nursing edueation aims at actively engaging nurses a lifelong process of learning,with the ultimate goal of improving healthcare delivery and outcomes＂. Continuing nursing education in China should combine the national condition with variety of heath demands and need multi-profes- sional support and efforts. The content of continuing nursing education should be various and the methods of education should be innovated,in order to make nurses play more important roles in health care system,as well as to improve the acceptance of professional value and social status.
