摘 要:20世纪30年代的现代派诗人堪称是一代边缘人。他们有相当一部分来自乡土,在都市中感受着传统和现代双重文明的挤压,成为乡土和都市夹缝中的边缘人,也由此获得了观照乡土和都市的双重心态以及双重视角。一方面他们从都市中领悟的现代体验出发重新审视乡土生活形态,另一方面他们又以乡土作为背景和参照反思都市现代文明。这种双重的阅历和视角,使现代派诗人得以更加深切地感受两种文明方式的对峙,并把这种文明的对峙内化为心灵世界的错综复杂的体验。进入现代派诗歌的具体文本世界,读者所领略的,正是这种从文明到心灵的丰富景观。通过其中几个主题级意象,大致可以透视现代派诗人笔下所展开的关于乡土与都市的具体图景。Chinese modernist poets in the 1930' s could be called a generation of marginal men. Quiet a lot of them came from the rural areas, suffered from the pressure of both the traditional civilization and modern civilization in the city, and turned into marginal men living in the narrow space between the countryside and the city, thus gaining dual attitudes and perspectives with a contrast between the rural and urban areas. These modernist poets reexamined the rural lifestyle on the basis of their modern experiences in the city, while they rethought about the modern urban civilization with the countryside as a background and reference. Their dual experiences and perspectives enabled them to feel more profoundly about the confrontation between these two forms of civilization, and turned this confrontation into more complex experiences in their inner hearts. When the readers entered into the textual world of modernist poems, they would gain a picture of the rich landscape from a civilization to the inner hearts of the poets. By choosing some thematic images from modernist poems, this paper is intended to reveal the specific representation of the countryside and the city in Chinese modernist poetry.
