摘　　要：党员质量问题,是关乎党执政地位巩固和加强执政能力建设的重大问题,是党应对复杂局面和抵御各种风险能力的基础。在党的八大上,邓小平就党员质量问题从提高党员质量必要性、党员质量的标准、党员质量提高的办法等多方面进行了全面深入思考。《关于修改党的章程的报告》凝结了建国以来邓小平提高党员质量的主要思想。The quality of Party members is a major problem which is related to the ruling position of the party and to enhancement of construction of administration ability.The quality of Party members is the foundation to improve the Party＇s ability to deal with complex situation and to resist various risks.In the 8th National Congress of the CPC,DENG Xiaoping made a concentrated thinking of the Party member quality problem regarding the necessity to improve the quality of Party members,the standard of the quality of Party members and the ways to improve the quality of Party members.〝 The report on the Revision of the Party Constitution〞summarizes the main ideas of DENG Xiaoping in improving Party member quality.This thinking is mainly accomplished by the modification of Party Constitution and it is of great realistic significance in the construction of Party member quality and the administration competence of the Party in conjunction with analysis of the situations of CPC.
