Prisons in feudal societies are the apparatus of feudal dictators to control people and are the places for dictators to enslave and slaughter people. Warders as a pawn of feudal ruling clique committed corruptions by means of taking bribes, making unfair judgment, cruelly using torture and killing people. Warder corruption became a common phenomenon at that time. Warder corruption was the ultimate result of feudal prison management.Feudal warders had a humble status but undertook great responsibility. The low salary caused psychological imbalance and the law enforcement and supervision mechanisms are loose, which resulted in the corruption of warders. An analysis of the causes of warder corruption in Chinese feudal societies has practical value.
