摘　　要：如同一位从沉睡中醒来的巨人,伟岸的阿尔泰山从荒漠中拔地而起,绵延2000多千米,横亘在中国、蒙古、俄罗斯和哈萨克斯坦的交界地带。这里不仅是雪豹等濒危动物的栖息地,,还是黄耆属、葱属和棘豆属等北温带属的多样性中心,更不乏仅见于此的特有物种。1998年,俄罗斯境内的阿尔泰金山被列入世界遗产名录。如同一位从沉睡中醒来的巨人,伟岸的阿尔泰余山从荒漠中拔地而起,绵延2000多千米,横亘在中国、蒙古、俄罗斯和哈萨克斯坦的交界地带，从此西伯利亚南部有福了。Like an awakened giant,the Altai Mountains rises straight from the desert and stretches over 2,000 kilometers along the boundaries among China,Mongolia,Russia and Kazakhstaa It is not only where endangered animal species like snow leopard dwell,but also the center of biodiversity for herbal varieties of North Temperate Zone such as astragalus,allium and oxytropis,and even species unique to the area.In 1998,the section of the Altai Mountains within the boundary of Russia was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List
