MRI imaging studies of pineal gland in normal human brain

摘　　要：目的 建立正常成人松果体MRI测量标准,并分析其性别差异及年龄变化规律。方法MRI扫描327例正常成人头颅,测量并分析松果体相关数据。结果 松果体矢径女性（7.12±1.11）mm,男性（6.52±1.01）mm（女性〉男性,P〈0.05）;松果体横径女性（5.72±0.98）mm,男性（5.38±1.07）mm;松果体高女性（4.38±0.43）mm,男性（4.03±0.62）mm;松果体体积女性（88.92±27.90）mm^3,男性（74.35±23.62）mm^3（女性〉男性,P〈0.05）。结论 松果体矢径和体积女性大于男性,松果体体积性别差异出现在31~60岁。Objective To establish the parameter standard of pineal gland and discuss the changing rule of different groups by gender and age in health adults on MRI. Methods A total of 327 adult heads were scanned by using 3D MR sequences, pineal gland and its related structures were observed and analyzed. Results The length of the pineal gland was （7.12± 1.11 ） mm in the female group, and （6.52± 1.01） mm in the male group （female〉male, P〈0.05）; The width of the pineal gland was （5.72±0.98） mm in the female group, and （5.38± 1.07） mm in the male group; The height of the pineal gland was （4.38±0.43） mm in the female group, and （4.03±0.62） mm in the male group; The volume of the pineal gland in female group was （88.92± 27.90） mm^3, and （74.35±23.62） mm^3 in the male group （female〉male,P〈0.05）. Conelusions Length and volume of the pineal gland in female group were larger than in male group; Gender difference of the volume of the pineal gland occurred between 31 to 60 years old.
