摘　　要：这座大楼隶属于一家从事制药技术的公司，大楼所在场地东侧毗邻京都和大阪之间的高架高速公路，南面是日本最重要的铁路线路之一，被风格各异的住宅项目和商业项目所包围。为了赋予该建筑以独特的个性，建筑师采用了一种简洁、独立的建筑形式语言。新建筑旁还有一座同样由山口隆设计的建筑，二者同属一家公司，新建筑因其立面精致透明而被人们称为“呼吸工厂”。Bordered immediately to the east by the elevated highway between Kyoto and Osaka and with one of the most important Japanese railway lines to the south, the site of this building for a company concerned with pharmaceutical technology is surrounded by heterogeneous housing and commercial developments. To lend the new structure a distinct character, therefore a clear, independent formal language was required.
