摘　　要：市政改革是美国城市化转型时期最为重要的事件之一。19世纪末美国用一代人时间完成了由乡村的农业社会向城市工业社会转变,引起社会经济的巨大变迁,城乡社会出现诸多不适与剧烈冲突。与此同时,美国进行了企业管理制度的改革,企业效率提高,并迅速扩张,有力地推动举国一致的市政改革,对美国经济持续发展及走向世界强国产生深远的影响。由于文化及价值的差异,美国各地新的市政管理组织差异巨大,对各地经济发展的影响也不尽相同,各区域经济力量此消彼长,大城市外围的郊区城镇、西部等成为美国新的经济增长中心,而东部大城市则衰落不振。The urban government system Reform is one of the most important affairses dunng American Urbanization Transformation. In the short run of the end of the 19th century America completed urban industrial social change from rural agricultural society,which caused huge social and economic change,and caused many problems and violent conflict. In the meantime, America carded on the reform of enterprise management system,which raised enterprise efficiency,and it caused to quickly extend,and trongly pushed whole contry＇urban government system reform,and produced great influence on the continued advance of American economy and on becoming a strong country in the world. Because of the difference of culture and value, new urban government organization of each region in America was very different,which influence on the economic devdopment in every place is different. Great change took place in the economic streng of the each district. The suburban towns around big dries, the west etc became new economic growth center in America, The big dries in eastern declined.
