Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect and safety of combination therapy of ambulatory phlebectomy and medical adhesive in lower extremity varicosis. Methods From Sep 2012 to Dec 2014,lower extremity varicosis patients in Jiujiang University hospital as the object of this study were treated with high ligation of great saphenous vein varicose vein stripping and ambulatory phlebectomy, the patients in the experimental group received medical adhesive COMPANT bonding, patients in control group was given silk suture. Intraoperative skin closure time, postoperative incision pain at first day and the operation incision scar marked degree after 3 months were observed in both groups. Results Incision pain average score in the experimental group was 2. 322±1.57,the control group was 4.543±1.38,with statistical difference between the two groups (P〈0.05). Average scar index in the experimental group was 3.4%,but 5.9%in the control group, the two groups have statistical difference(P〈0.05). Conclusion Com-bination therapy of ambulatory phlebectomy and medical adhesive is safe and effective in lower extremity varicosis ,and at the same time, the effect is clear,is worth spreading and using.
