《手》与父权文化

摘　　要：学界一般认为"交流障碍"和工业化造成的"异化"是安德森短篇小说《手》的两个重要主题,也是造成作品中主人公悲剧的两个主要因素。在上述社会心理分析和经济因素分析的基础上,若从文化因素的角度看,父权文化是小说主人公悲剧形成的另一重要因素,此种文化突出表现在对男子气概的放大与推崇,进而把与"双性同体"相悖的男子气概认同为一种美德。主人公在这种被推崇至扭曲的文化中被迫屈尊与退变:手退变为机械,人退变为畸人。Barrier in communication and alienation as a result of industrialization were viewed in academia as two of the motifs and of the main factors that caused the tragedy of the hero in Anderson＇ s short story Hands. Based on the studies above conducted from the psychological and economic perspective, if seen from the cultural perspective, patriarchism is another important factor that caused the tragedy of the hero. This pat- riarchic culture is mainly characterized by ＂glorification and magnification of machismo＂, so much so that peo- ple take machismo, which is at odds with androgyny, as a virtue. The hero in the short story is forced to be condescended in such a culture which is glorified to the extent to which it is distorted： hands are condescended into machines while men into grotesque.
