3-Carboxybenzoyl Lactic Acid as Initiator for Aqueous Polymerization of Acryl Acid

摘  要:合成了一种化合物——3-羧基苯甲酰乳酸,并用于引发丙烯酸水溶液聚合。利用核磁共振、红外光谱和质谱对化合物结构进行了表征;利用称量法确定了聚合物收率;利用凝胶渗透色谱测定了聚合物的数均相对分子质量及其分布。通过空白对比试验,在完全没有热引发的条件下,3-羧基苯甲酰乳酸具有较高的引发活性。并且随温度升高、反应时间延长、单体质量分数和引发剂用量增加,聚合物收率增高;相对分子质量随温度升高、引发剂浓度增加而减小,随单体浓度增加而增大,符合链式聚合规律。A novel compound,3-carboxybenzoyl lactic acid,was synthesized and applied to initiate aqueous solution polymerization of acryl acid( AA). Its chemical structure was characterized by1H-NMR,FT-IR and mass spectrum( MS). The yield of the polymers was calculated by weighting method,number-average molecular weight( 珚Mn) and molecular weight distribution( MWD) of the polymers were estimated by GPC. The results indicate that 3-carboxybenzoyl lactic acid absolutely initiates the aqueous polymerization of AA under the condition of suppressing thermal initiation.The yield of the polymers increases with the increases of temperature,polymerization time,AA concentration and 3-carboxybenzoyl lactic acid concentration. Meanwhile,molecular weight( 珚Mn) of the polymers decreases with increasing temperature and 3-carboxybenzoyl lactic acid concentration. However,珚Mnof the polymers remains unchanged with polymerization time,and decreases with the increase of monomer concentration. The polymerization behaviors are in accordance the rule of free radical polymerization.
