摘　　要：美国高等教育发展史可视为一部高等教育应用性创新史。作为历史选择的结果,美国高等教育的应用性创新越来越显示出巨大的影响力。应用性创新不仅助推美国高等教育取得一个又一个成功,而且使美国由世界高等教育的学习者变为世界高等教育发展潮流的引领者。在破解各种现实问题的过程中,美国高等教育的应用性创新得到不断强化。为了迎接未来的挑战,美国高等教育应用性创新的发展正呈现出新的发展动向。考察美国高等教育的应用性创新对我国高等教育改革和发展具有重大启示。The developmental history of American higher education can be viewed as a history of applied innovation in higher education. The applied innovation in American higher education,which is the result of historical choice for American higher education,shows increasingly powerful influence. The applied innovation not only made American higher education succeed continuously,but also changed America from the a learner of world higher education to a great leader of world higher education trend.The applied innovation of American higher education gets constantly strengthened during the process of solving kinds of practical problems. In order to meet challenges in future,the development of the applied innovation of American higher education is showing some new developmental trends. Examining the applied innovation of American higher education can greatly enlighten the reform and development of our country's higher education.
