摘　　要：韦棣华是中国图书馆发展史上不可或缺的一位杰出女性,被誉为"中国现代图书馆运动之皇后"。目前对她的研究主要集中在如何评价其人、生平考辩、文华公书林、文华图专、图书馆精神、韦棣华基金、中华图书馆协会7个主题,并在核心著者群、基金项目资助方面取得了可喜成绩。然而,这些研究在史料占有、研究方法及研究视角方面存在诸多局限性。只有克服局限、弥补不足,才能最大限度地接近历史真相,尽可能全面地呈现韦棣华的真实面貌。Mary Elizabeth Wood is an outstanding female and known as ＂the Queen of Modern Library Movement in indispensable in the history of the development of Chinese library, China＂. At present, the research of her has focused on the following seven topics： how to evaluate the person, the examination of her life, Boone Library, Boone Library School, the spirit of library, the Mary Elizabeth Wood foundation, Library Association of China, and has made achievements in the core authors and project funding. However, there are many limitations in the historical data, research methods and research perspectives. In order to maximize close to historical truth and present the true face of Mary Elizabeth Wood as comprehensive as possible, we have to overcome these limitations.
