Objective To explore the clinical significance of human papilloma virus DNA ( HPV-DNA ) and interleukin 17 ( IL-17 ) detecting among patients with cervical lesions and their correlation. Methods Sixty cases of cervical lesions were selected from the patients admitted in Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Kecheng District in Quzhou City from May 2011 to May 2013, and HPV-DNA and IL-17 contents of them were detected. Results HPV was negative in 41.67%of patients (25/60), HPV was positive in 30.00%(18/60), and the rest were cases of cervical cancer. There was no significant difference in percentage (χ^2 =12.21,P〉0.05).IL-17 level of HPV positive group and that of cervical cancer group was significantly lower than that of HPV negative group ( t value was 8.11 and 11.13, respectively, both P〈0.05), but there was no significant difference in the level of IL-17 between HPV positive group and cervical cancer group ( t =2.15, P 〉0.05).Conclusion There is certain correlation between IL-17 level and the development of cervical cancer. Detecting of high risk HPV combined with IL-17 level could be done actively at diagnosis, treatment and prognosis judgment of cervical cancer.
