摘　　要：The United Nations （UN） is celebrating its 70th birthday. As the wodcrs largest and most authoritative international organization, the UN is playing a commendable role in maintaining world peace. However, the world in its current state is far from tranquil, Numerous, decades-long regional conflicts still exist; more recently, Syrian and Ukrainian political crises have led to large numbers of civilian casualties; and terrorism continues to pose enormous security risks to communities around the world. Europe has been hit with the largest refugee crisis in recent history, with families dsking everything and fleeing at all costs to get to a safer space.
