摘　　要：对于19世纪的德国建筑师和理论家戈特弗里德·森佩尔来说,"风格"构成了一条梳理其丰富庞杂的建筑理论的主线。作为讨论他的风格理论的两篇文章之一,该文主要探讨了他所处历史背景与其理论著述之间的逻辑关系、受到当时生物学发展的影响而构建建筑学知识体系和建立起建筑形式认识论、以及建筑基本形式理论三个方面的内容。它们为完整地展现森佩尔的建筑风格理论提供了前提并奠定了基础。‘Style ＇is a clue to understand methodically the plentiful and complicated architectural theory of Gottfried Semper, said by the famous German architect and theorist in 19th century. This paper, as the first of two to discuss his style theory, focuses on three aspects of contents including the logical relationship between the historical background he lived against and his writing works, the system of architectural knowledge he tried to create and the epistemology of architectural form he established under the influence of the development of biology at that time, and the theory of the basic form of architecture. They will set forth the preconditions and make the basis for discovering integrallty Semper＇s theory of architectural style.
