摘　　要：20世纪初期,俄国十月社会主义革命取得胜利,而西欧其他国家的社会主义运动均以失败告终,在这种背景下西方马克思主义学者们开始重新审视和思考马克思主义,西方马克思主义便由此产生。西方马克思主义既是对马克思主义的补充和延伸,也是对马克思主义的批判,它从产生到现在已有几十年的发展历史。西方马克思主义有哲学理论和批判理论两个核心理论。本文以批判理论作为研究的出发点,分析探究了批判理论中对现代性的批判理论的内容和意义,分析了西方马克思主义对现代性政治和文化的批判理论,并进一步阐释了西方马克思主义哲学的批判理论的意义和价值。In early 20th century, the Russian October Socialist Revolution won a victory, while the socialist movements in other countries of Western Europe failed. In this context, Western Marxist scholars began to re-examine and think Marxism, thus resulting in the emergence of Western Marxism. Western Marx-ism is both a complement and extension of Marxism, but also in-cludes critiques of Marxism, which have several decades of histo-ry from its advent to now. Western Marxism has two core theories, that is, philosophical theory and critical theory. With critical the-ory as a starting point for research, this paper studies and ana-lyzes the content and meaning of critical theory to modernity, an-alyzes the critical theory of Western Marxism on modern politics and culture, and further illustrates the meaning and value of the critical theory of Western Marxist philosophy.
