高校图书馆外文期刊利用率问题研究

摘　　要：高校外文期刊是师生借鉴发达国家先进经验,获取前沿科学知识的重要信息来源。然而外文期刊在各个高校能得到有效利用的程度很低,其购置经费昂贵而利用率低的现状引发了人们的关注。就如何提高外文期刊的利用率问题,从读者、图书馆和电子期刊带来的冲击等层面进行了全面的分析,并从加强读者对外文期刊阅读和检索能力的培养、根据读者的有效需求有针对性地提供高质量的外文期刊以及加强馆际互借等方面提出了提高外文期刊利用率的建议。Foreign periodicals are one of the important information sources for teachers and students in universities and colleges to learn advanced experience and scientific knowledge from developed countries. However, the contrast between high purchasing expense and low utilization rate of these resources has aroused people＇s attention. The paper analyzes rea- sons of the low use efficiency from three aspects, including readers, libraries and impacts of electronic journals and puts forward some suggestions, such as strengthening the training of readers＇ reading and retrieval abilities of foreign periodicals, providing high quality periodicals according to readers＇ demands and facilitating inter-lending among libraries.
