Objective To evaluate clinical curative effect of the micro-injection pump used for the fine-needle epidural block technique. Methods 132 patients who fitted to use the fine- needle epidural block were selected. They were randomly divided into two groups,micro-injection pump injection group (group A) and the traditional manual injection group (group B),66 cases in each group. After the success of the fine needle epidural puncture, group A received micro- injection pump and group B received traditional artificial injection. Treatment effect was evaluat- ed by using visual analogue scale(VAS) and modified MacNab criteria. The treatment complica- tions, adverse reactions and follow-up after treatment satisfaction were recorded. Results The excellent and good rate of A group was 95%, which was significantly higher than 85% in the B group, the difterence was statistically significant (P〈0.05);The incidence rate of adverse reaction tff A group(1.01%) was lower than that in B group(6.57%), the difference was statistically signifi- cant(P〈0.01 ). Conclusion The micro-injection pump used in fine-needle epidural block technique can avoid the shortcomings of traditional artificial injection, and significantly improve the safety and clinical efficacy of treatment.
