摘　　要：众多历史文献和分析表明,人口素质与经济发展有紧密的联系。而在人口素质中,文化素质又占重中之重。全民文化素质的提升有利于整个民族国家的兴旺发达。本文以第六次全国人口普查资料对江苏省文化素质现状进行分析,并阐述如何提高文化素质以及开展全民阅读活动对提高文化素质的作用。Numerous historical documents and analyses showed that the population quality and economic development are closely linked. And in population quality, cultural quality accounts for the highest proportion. Enhancing nationwide cultural quality is conducive to the prosperity of the entire nation. Based on the sixth national census data, we analyze the current situation of cultural quality in Jiangsu Province, and elaborates how to im-prove cultural quality and the role of nationwide reading activities in improving cultural quality.
