侗族传统民居的工具性象征符号解读

摘　　要：工具性象征符号是与关键性象征符号既有联系又有区别的一种符号类型。虽然在意义的浓缩程度上不及关键性象征符号,可是工具性象征符号也在局部范围或者阶段性环节中发挥着重要且不可替代的作用。以侗族传统民居为阐释对象,深刻解读了侗族传统民居中四种重要的工具性象征符号——中柱、瓜柱、大门、主门背后隐含的象征意涵,对推动象征符号理论的实践应用也具有一定的积极作用。Instrumental Symbol is a kind of sign that relates to but differs from Key Symbol. Though measured from the degree of meaning condensation, Instrumental Symbol is less than Key Symbol, and it also plays an important and irreplaceable role in some partial or sectional phases. On the basis of detailed field investigation, the article deeply interprets the representation meanings of four important instrumental symbols in traditional Dong dwellings–central pillar, side pillar, main door and living room door. The research not only enriches the object category of the symbol system and the meaning interpretation, but also has the positive contribution for promoting the application of the theory of symbols as well.
