摘　　要：It is with great sadness that we report that our dear friend and colleague Professor Christopher N.Candlin passed away on 9th May 2015.It is with great sadness that we report that our dear friend and colleague Professor Christopher N.Candlin passed away on 9th May 2015.Professor Christopher N.Candlin has been a member of the Editorial Board of the Chinese Journal of Applied Linguistics since 2010.His guidance,advice and editorial work have helped the journal to grow substantially during those precious 6 years.
