External treatment of diabetic foot by TCM

摘　　要：中医学认为,糖尿病足(DF)属本虚标实之证。其发生多因消渴日久,耗气伤阴,致脏腑气血阴阳受损,肌表失养,郁而化火,火毒焦灼肌肤或者感受外来湿热等毒邪,出现痰阻、气滞、血瘀、热毒壅盛之证,最终血腐肉败形成本病。以气阴亏虚为本,瘀血热毒为标。中医外治以清热解毒、祛腐生肌、活血通络为原则,采用敷贴疗法(箍围药敷贴、掺药外敷、油膏外敷、酊剂湿敷)、手术疗法(祛腐清筋术、蚕食法)、熏洗足浴法及其他疗法(艾灸、穴位注射)等方法,能显著提高治愈率及有效率,降低致残率,提高患者生活质量。Traditional Chinese medicine（ TCM） believes that the diabetic foot is deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality syndrome. When have diabetes for a long time,it will lead to the damage of yin and yang. Then,the skin loses moisture,the qi stagnation transforming into fire,burning the skin burn. Or attacked by wet and heat evil,phlegm retention,qi stagnation,blood stasis,pyretic toxicity syndrome will occur. Finally,it forms carrion. DF is fundamental to deficiency of qi and yin,manifesting as blood stasis and pyretic toxicity. In traditional Chinese medicine（ TCM）,the effective treatments include application therapy（ using encircling drug,dusting power drug,ointment and tincture）,surgery（ TCM） therapy（ proceeding the exhaustive debridement once for all or step by step,according to the development of the disease）,steaming and washing therapy,lavipeditum therapy,moxibustion therapy,and acupoint injection therapy,etc. Traditional Chinese medicine external treatment with diabetic foot has its unique advantages,greatly improving the diabetic foot of the cure rate and effective rate,reduce the disability rate,so that the quality of patients＇ life with diabetic foot rose to a new level.
