摘  要:AMOLED(Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode,有源有机发光二极管阵列)是一种有源驱动方式的OLED器件,与传统的显示屏相比,具有对比度更高、视角更宽、色彩效果更好、响应时间更短、亮度更高等优点。然而AMOLED高亮度等特点使得其用于移动设备时,功耗以及寿命成为很重要的问题,本文针对此提出低功耗图像增强算法。首先针对已有的局部直方图均衡提出了改进,使之能够更多地保留原图信息和呈现更多细节信息。其次,针对AMOLED显示的特点,提出了基于矩形框判决的局部直方图均衡方法,该方法能压缩高灰度级的像素分布,从而更大程度地降低了功耗。最终利用MATLAB软件和FPGA验证平台完成了算法的软件仿真和硬件验证。实验结果表明,该算法在提高图像对比度的同时,能够降低20%的功耗,因此该算法适合应用于AMOLED的显示驱动中。AMOLED ( Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode ) is a kind of OLED devices using active driving method. Compared to conventional displays, it has the advantages of higher contrast, wider viewing angle, better color presentation, shorter response time, higher brightness. However, the high brightness of AMOLED makes that the power and lifetime becomes an important problem when used in mobile devices. The paper proposes a low-power image enhancement algorithm in order to solve the problem. Firstly, we improve the local histogram equalization to retain more information and more details. Secondly, the local histogram equalization based on rectangular judgment for low-power AMOLED displays is employed. The distribution of high gray levels is greatly reduced by the power reduction for low power design. The algorithm has been implemented on MATLAB and FPGA platform. The result shows that the algorithm can enhance image contrast, at the same time it can reduce power consumption by 20%, which is suitable for AMOLED displays driving.
