摘　　要：菜单式的居住区规划设计模式是中国目前干城一面和视觉混乱的根源,因此需要改变目前的的规划设计模式。根据不同地域,首先确立各自应有的城市意象,然后找出能塑造这一城市意象的建筑形态模型,并据此提出控规指标,在大规模造城的当下,只有科学的规划模式的建立才能避免城市的单调乏味与混乱。We need to reform the current menu-style planning modelin residential areas.This current style makes all cities look virtually the same,and it creates a visual disorder in Chinese cities.In this paper,we willfirst discuss the unique visual characters of historic cityscapefound inevery region.Then,we will establish the architectural forms that would recreate those unique city images.Planning control criteria will beestablished based on the visual design research.We can only avoid creating monotonous citiesby adopting a more scientific andvisionary planning approach tolarge-scale urban re-development.
