摘　　要：薛求理新作《城境——香港建筑1946—2011》一书,全面介绍了战后香港建筑的发展,内容涵盖了具体案例及宏观反思。香港由一个港口城市逐步发展成为国际金融贸易中心,由殖民化转向全球化。香港有着独特的建筑环境,长期以来建筑业界重视实业和实践,理论总结却相对寥落。该书作者将研究触角从中国内地伸延到香港,其对香港的观照源于他对大中华乃至世界建筑潮流的关注,为读者提供了关于香港现代建筑发展的新鲜材料和了解研究香港建筑的宽阔视野。Dr.Charlie Q.L.Xue＇s new book Contextualtzing Modernity：Hong Kong Architecture 1946-2011 thoroughly introduces the architectural development of Hong Kong after WWII,including macro reflections and specific case studies.Hong Kong has progressively developed from a port city to an international financial and commercial center,and transformed from colonial to global.Although it has unique architectural environment,the architects there focused more on their projects and practices,while fewer on theories.Based on his research from China's Mainland to Hong Kong,Dr.Charlie Q.L.Xue provides fresh materials and broad views of Hong Kong architectural development for readers.
