摘　　要：当代社区主要分为传统型社区和新兴混合型社区,传统型社区又分为单位型、乡村型、街道型社区,这些不同类型的社区在人员构成、矛盾纠纷种类上各有其特点,作为人民调解主体的居委会在面对不同社区时,运用的调解方式、依据也不尽相同,分析以人民调解委员会为主体的人民调解在不同类型社区中的应用,重视其在社区法治化治理中的作用。Modern communities mainly consist of traditional communities and emerging hybrid communities.Traditional communities embody in three forms： unit form, village form and street form. Those different communities have their own features on the constitution of people and types of conflicts and disputes.Neighborhood committee, being the main body of mediation, based on different types of communities, uses different mediation methods. This essay shows the significance of the mediation by analyzing the applications of mediation in different types of communities.
