摘　　要：佛教对中国古典小说的变迁和发展影响深远,无论是从小说的语言文字、主题思想、母题、情节塑造、人物形象、场景设置、体裁体例、创作技法、表现形式等都受到佛教的影响,从而呈现出中国古典小说特有的气质和风貌。文章主要从古典小说立意、取材和创作技法三个方面梳理佛教与小说的关系,说明中国古典小说或以劝世或以传教为目的广泛援引佛教的因果报应说、感应说、命定说、解脱说、中观说、性空说等佛教教义作为小说主旨;在取材上,古典小说大量使用佛教元素作为小说人物、场景,或直接采撷佛经故事原型或杂糅佛教传说物语与其他源头为素材进行故事的新编与演绎;在创作技法上,古典小说也深受佛经文学的影响,重视小说的情节曲折性和奇崛的想象力,结合韵文与散文的笔调开启通俗化的叙述。The Buddhism has deep influences on Chinese classical novels＇changing and developing. No matter the language, the topic, the plot, the finger, the novel scene, the writing techniques and the form, all are connected with the Buddhism, which made Chinese novels to present a special style. This paper aims to analyze the relationship between the Buddhism and Chinese classical novels form three aspects： the theme; the resources and the writ- ing techniques. It also indicates some classical novels with the purposes of moral or spreading Buddhism borrowed the idea of YinGuo; GanYing; Ming- Ding; JieTuo; ZhongGuan and XingKong theories as their themes. Chinese classical novels also used many Buddhism＇s components as their fingers or scenes ; they directly picked up the Buddhism＇s stories as their prototypes or combined these stories and other resources into new narratives. Chinese classi- cal novels have the characters of focusing on the plots＇bizarre and rich imagination and the using of popular narratives through the mixture of the prose and verse writing methods.
