索绪尔语言任意性中的非任意性解读

摘　　要：国内外许多学者把索绪尔定义为语言任意论者,这种评价有失偏颇。索绪尔曾客观地谈到了语言有其任意性也有非任意性,任意性与非任意性是并存互补的。文章通过对索绪尔语言任意性中的非任意性解读,从语音、词汇和句法层面论述索绪尔语言任意性中的非任意性,认为:以往不少学者对索绪尔的研究只着眼于其语言任意性的论述,而忽视了他的语言非任意性的论述,学者们对索绪尔也应该有重新的认识,不可片面地把他定义为语言任意论者。Many scholars home and abroad regard Saussure as the one that only advocates the arbitrariness in language, which is partial. Sanssure put forward objectively that the linguistic sign has its arbitrariness and non- arbitrariness, and the two coexist and complement with each other. While interpreting the non-arbitrariness in arbitrariness of language, the paper discusses Saussure＇ s view of non-arbitrariness from the levels of sound, word and syntax. The studies of Saussure among the majority of previous scholars focus only on his notions of arbitrariness in language, ignoring those of non-arbitrariness. Hence it is suggested that the scholars recognize Saussure again and avoid the partial understanding of him as an advocate of language arbitrariness.
