摘　　要：当前,西部地区工业发展的国际国内环境正在发生深刻变化,长期积累的深层矛盾日益突出,粗放型的增长方式难以为继,必须以新型工业化促进工业平稳快速、优质高效发展。但多年来,西部地区曾经走过的传统工业化道路制约着工业的转型升级。通过对西部地区新中国成立以来的工业化历程进行简要的回顾和梳理,揭示西部地区传统工业化面临的困境,并在对其进行反思的基础上,对西部地区由传统工业化转向新型工业化进行展望。Nowadays the international and domestic environment of industrial development of the western region isundergoing profound changes. The long-term accumulation of deep contradictions is becoming increasingly prominent. Withthe extensive mode of growth unsustainable, we need to promote steady, rapid and efficient development of industrializationin a new way. But the traditional way of industrialization in the western region has restricted its industrial transition andupgrading for years. This paper reviews and combs the industrialization process of the western region briefly, reveals thepredicament of traditional industrialization in the region, and makes a prospect on the development of the western regionbased on the analysis.
