摘　　要：Two proteolytic enzymes, β- and γ-secretases, work together to pro- duce the amyloid β-peptide of AI- zheimer＇s disease. New evidence suggests that these proteases directly interact and compounds that dis- rupt this interaction reduce amyloid β-peptide levels without directly blocking either enzyme＇s solo activity.
