摘　　要：邓小平对改革开放前后两个历史时期进行了科学认识和评价,提出总体上要充分肯定改革开放以前历史时期,要肯定"文化大革命"以前十七年的历史。在改革开放以前的历史时期,我国社会主义建设取得了巨大成就,为实现中华民族伟大复兴奠定了重要基础。要正确看待改革开放以前历史时期的失误,善于化害为利,把失误变成一种财富,要科学评价毛泽东同志。改革开放以后历史时期继承和发展了改革开放以前历史时期的积极成果,同时,深刻总结了改革开放以前历史时期的教训。正确看待改革开放前后两个历史时期,要坚持向前看,分清主流和支流,不断总结历史经验。Deng Xiaoping makes a scientific understanding and evaluation on betore and after the reform and opening--up historical periods. He puts forward that we should fully affirm the period of before the reform and opening up, fully affirm the history of seventeen years before the ＂Cultural Revolution＂. In the period of before the reform and opening up, our country has made great achievements in socialist construction, laying an important foundation for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. We should treat correctly the faults of that period, be good at turning harm into good and turning faults into wealth. We should make a scientific evaluation on Mao Zedong. The period of after the reform and opening up inherits and develops positive results of the former period; at the same time, it also profoundly concludes the lessons afforded by that period. We should treat correctly before and after the reform and opening--up historical periods, stick to looking ahead, distinguish between the essentials and nonessentials, and continu- ously sum up historical experience.
