摘　　要：伊恩·麦克尤恩的小说《赎罪》讲述了主人公布里奥妮利用一生的时间来为自己因少不更事所犯下的错误而忏悔的故事。本文从人性的罪恶、等级制度的罪恶和战争的罪恶三方面对小说的罪恶主题进行解读,以此来告诫世人只有从根本上弃恶向善,消灭一切不公平现象,人类才能真正做到自我救赎,社会才能真正和谐发展,世界也才能真正和平安宁。Atonement written by Ian McEwan tells a story about Briony ,the heroine of the novel ,who spends her whole life atoning for the big mistake she made when she was a child .This paper interprets the theme of evil of the novel from three aspects ,namely ,the evils of human nature ,the evils of hierarchy and the evils of the war .Through the interpretation ,an admonition is given that only by resisting evil ,doing good and eliminating unfairness ,can mankind really redeem themselves from sins ,society really develop in a harmonious way and the world really enjoy peace .
