摘　　要：随着西部大开发的推进,西部地区的自我发展能力问题得到了越来越多的关注。文章以我国西部地区为研究对象,从现有的涉及到西部地区自我发展能力方面的文献提取有效的信息,对区域自我发展能力的基本认识、区域自我发展能力的测度与实证研究,以及西部地区自我发展能力现状与培育等三个方面进行了仔细的梳理,总结了现有文献在这一方面的研究成果。通过对主要观点进行分析,文章发现,我国学者对于区域自我发展能力的认识并不一致,这也造成了对西部地区自我发展能力指标测度的多元化与相关的实证研究不足的局面。此外,针对西部地区自我发展能力较低的现状,如何提升其自我发展能力方面的研究依然不足。最后文章指出了未来西部地区自我发展能力研究需要突破的关键问题与应当关注的主要方面。Along with the advancement of western development, the western region self - development ca- pacity has received more and more attention. This paper takes China＇ s western region as the research object, extracts useful information from the existed literature involved in the western region self - development capacity studies and reviews basic understanding of regional self - development capacity, measure- ment of regional self- development capacity and empirical research and the current situation of the west- ern region self - development capacity and cultivating three aspects. It sums up the research achievements of our country＇ s existing literature. Through the analysis of the main points of relevant researches, it is found that scholars had different understanding of regional self development capacity, thus caused the di- versity of measurement for self - development capacity in the western areas and the lack of relevant empirical research. In addition, as to the present situation of the self - development capacity in the western region , research of how to promote self development capacity is still insufficient. Finally, the article points out what the future research needs to break through and focus on in the research of western region self - development capabilities.
