摘　　要：中国中药资源无论从数量还是质量上,都有着世界上其他国家难以企及的天然优势。但是,中药由于其传统知识的属性,很难得到现代知识产权体系的保护。因此,需要从经济利益的角度,论证对其进行知识产权保护的必要性。文章通过对中药知识产权保护产生的成本和收益进行对比,发现其能够促进中药的创新和发展,提高社会整体福利水平,为国民经济的发展和人民生命健康水平的提高作出相应的贡献。In terms of quantity and quality of the traditional Chinese medicine resources, few countries in the world can match the natural advantage of China. However, because of its traditional knowledge character, traditional Chinese medicine is seldom protected by modem intellectual property system. Therefore, it is necessary to demonstrate the necessity of intellectual property protection from the perspective of economic interests. Through the comparison of the cost and benefit of the intellectual property rights protection of Chinese medicine, it can be found that such protection can promote the innovation and development of traditional Chinese medicine, improve the level of the whole social welfare, and make the corresponding contribution to the development of national economy and the improvement of people＇s life and health.
