摘　　要：1977年郭威大师出生于福州市晋安区鼓山镇后屿村的一个雕刻艺术世家,姨公郭懋介(字石卿)和叔叔郭卓怀(字白羽)均是名重一时、德艺双馨的寿山石雕刻大家,儿时的耳濡目染培养了他对艺术的爱好,"石出寿山,艺出鼓山"的一方水土更是滋养了他的艺术成长,这一得天独厚的条件为他后来走上玉石雕刻之路打下了坚实的基础。痴情于艺术的郭威大师没有辜负"天赐"的命运安排,1998年,他进入福建师范大学美术学院研修国画。Mr.Guowei was born in a little village.His father and grandfather are all caving master.Living in this family,little Guowei developed a love for art and then he made up his mind to become a caring master.In 1998,he entered into Academy of Fine Arts,Fujian Normal University.In 2001,he studied in Academy of Fine Arts,Tsinghua University.During these time,he obtained careful guidance from Tan Dongkeng,Ling yueping and other famous artists.He is good at Chinese realistic painting birds and flowers,Freehand landscape and character line sketch.After he came back,Guowei officially took Mr.Guo zhuohuai as his teacher.He began systematically study tradition sculpture tricks of Shoushan stone.He combined essence of Chinese realistic painting with theory of Western arts and applied for Shoushan stone sculpture.He gradually formed individual creative style.Mr.Guo is proficient in all kind of sculpture tricks,such as relieve,round caving,seal cutting.He is especially good at Boyi.Boyi is a kind of traditional trick and very difficult to master.He combined Boyi with Chinese painting and fully used to creation.He’s works not only full of poem and painting aroma,but also magnificent,exquisite and sprite.He get a high reputation in art field.
