摘　　要：在重视工商的吴文化传统的影响和西方资本主义侵略的刺激下,19世纪末20世纪初,吴地产生了一批民族企业家。他们普遍敢为人先、勇于探索,又总是能够把个人和企业的前途与国家的命运联系在一起;囿于时代条件的局限和资本主义发展的不成熟,近代吴地企业家在经营活动中也存在着对市场经济基本规则了解和把握不够、内心深处充满矛盾和紧张、过分注重亲情和乡谊等不足。In the early 20 th century,there appeared some ethnic entrepreneurs in Wu area who were progressive and of venturesome spirit. Besides,they could always link their own fate and their enterprises' fate with that of the nation. However,they didn't have enough knowledge about the basic rules of market economy and therefore had the disadvantages of a contradictory mind,being tense,giving too much attention to kinship and friendship with fellow- villagers.
